yogyakarta is a bewildering labyrinth of gangs/alleys

, sellers, temples, foods, rickshaws and more.  for me, it was the people, many sleeping in their carts or on the streets, that i will always remember. 

one night, i drank the local rice beverage with them and slept on a mat near the jalan malioboro. 

the hangover was brutal.  my pal leo (pictured w/ author) threw up his small intestine.
